Sew Inside Pocket and Lining to Unlined Jacket Pattern
Materials:
- Lining fabric
- Inside pocket fabric
- Sewing machine
- Thread
- Scissors
- Iron and ironing board
- Pattern weights (optional)
- Measuring tape or ruler
Instructions:
Step 1: Cut out the lining and inside pocket pieces
Using the pattern pieces provided, cut out the lining and inside pocket pieces from your chosen fabrics.
Step 2: Sew the inside pocket
Place the inside pocket pieces right sides together and sew around the edges, leaving a small opening for turning. Trim the corners and turn the pocket right side out. Press the pocket flat and topstitch around the edges.
Step 3: Attach the inside pocket to the lining
Place the inside pocket on the lining piece, aligning the raw edges. Pin in place and sew around the edges, leaving a small opening for turning. Trim the corners and turn the lining right side out. Press the lining flat and topstitch around the edges.
Step 4: Sew the lining to the jacket
Place the lining inside the jacket, right sides together. Pin and sew around the edges, leaving a small opening for turning. Trim the corners and turn the jacket right side out. Press the jacket flat and topstitch around the edges.
